Blogger´s Origins
Blogger is one of the firsts and more successful online blogs.
It was created by Pyra Labs and launched in 1999. Its most advanced quality at that moment was that instead of writing the HTML codge and uploading the new publications on unspecific websites, publications were written online, updated dynamically on the web by any browser and reflecting the results immediately.
Historical Development
2003: Google acquired Pyra Labs, and with it, Blogger.
2004: Google bought Picasa and its photo sharing Hello. This application allowed bloggers to put images in their blogs, on Fotolog. This year Blogger was also relaunched, adding new design templates, publication by email and BlogThis!.
2006: bloggers can since this year label items and put blogs of restricted access to people invited by a blog administrator, among other functions.
This year as well, modifying the HTML to modify the template starts to be unnecessary as requiring a Google account to be able to have blogger accounts starts to be necessary.
2010: you can modify the design without knowing HTML or CSS languages.
2011: new applications for mobile devices with operating systems like Android are developed during this year. With the arrival of Google+, Blogger began sharing Google+ accounts with Blogger´s.
